Weekly summary - 121th week

What a busy week again.
It is damn tired of working long hours and also busy with my MBA exam.
The bad thing of applying Minoxidil is you need several hours to get your scalp dry.
So If I came back late, I normally will skip it.
I won't miss any of Proscar/ Propecia as it is the root for Male Pattern Baldness.
If there is a choice which one to miss out of left out, minoxidil is more likely to effect less.
I have experience to miss out one dosage of Propecia and the result was more hairloss in the sevral days after that.
As I have mentioned last week. I do notice some hair growth in the frontal although it is not too obvious. Still, it is a positive result.

Hi,
As for male pattern baldness - need to take Proscar/ Propecia.
How about for female pattern baldness. What oral medicine the female can take. I am one of the sufferer of hair loss, bald patches on the crown area..
I have visited Miracle Hair Expert but i am vague of their effectiveness. Most likely will be same as Yun Nam & 101 Hair. It was really expensive. I didnt sign up and would like to find alternative.
Thanks.

Irissu,
First of all, don't go to hair expert, i would recommand go see a derm. and he/she will do all the tests to see if anything inside your body is casuing your problem. Maybe you have some health issue, so go check it first.

If you really don't have any heath issue and still losing hair. There's not much you can do since you can't take propecia ( propecia is only for men)

The only thing that might work for women is minioxidil(proved by FDA) for women, other products would most likely not work.
Or you can consider a hair transplant, if it's only a bald patch on the top of your head and not thinning any where else.

But of course, hair loss is hard to anticapte and you never know what would happen to the areas that didn't get transplant. And that's where propecia kicks in to prevent future hair loss (in most cases, ethical doctors wouldn't even do hair transplant to men or women if their hair loss hasn't be stable by propecia)

So yea, for women, there's not much you can do. I would recommand a wig for women since it's easier for women to have a good looking and real wig as women have lonoger hair style. Go get a wig if you can handle the pressure and be sure to talk to your bf/husband about hair loss. You can't hide it forever... Don't be too stress out, i am sure he will love you for who you are, not just the look of you.( well, the look is important too since i am a guy and i unerstand it, but he really breaks/divorce with you, that man isn't even worth marrying/dating)

Good luck to you all!

Men's Rogaine Foam is a patent protected product of Rogaine, which is basically the good old minoxidil 5% in the form of foam instead of solution. Minoxidil has been proven to be effective in treating hair loss in men and women, and is one of the most basic and recommended baldness cures.
